Durham, Meralco extend series to winner-take-all Game 5

Meralco Bolts staved off elimination as it overcame the TNT KaTropa in Game 4, 95-83, in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

As a result, the Bolts have equalized the best-of-five series, 2-2, dragging TNT to a sudden-death Game 5 to have the right to face Barangay Ginebra in the finals.

Two-time Best Import Allen Durham did not allow his team to bow out that easy, lifting the Bolts to a victory with 36 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.

Baser Amer and Chris Newsome added 12 and 10 markers respectively, as Meralco weathered a tough start before turning the tables in the second frame to lead the rest of the way.

KJ McDaniels made 26 points and nine rebounds, while Troy Rosario chipped 15 points in a loss by the KaTropa.

The do-or-die Game 5 will be played on Monday, December 23, 7:00 pm at the same venue.
