Magnolia Hotshots delivered another win as it stymied the Alaska Aces late, 95-90, in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup Sunday night at the Big Dome.

Rolling to their third consecutive win after dropping their opening game, the Hotshots, in the process, extended Alaska’s winless slump to five games.

Leading for most of the way, Magnolia blew away a 15-point advantage as the Aces turned a 94-85 deficit to just 94-90, before eventually faltering in the final minute.

Ian Sangalang finished with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Magnolia’s well-distributed offense. Import Romeo Travis contributed 17 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocks while Mark Barroca added 13 markers in the win.

Vic Manuel wound up with 22 points, Franko House had 20 points and Chris Banchero added 17 points for the undermanned Alaska side still missing injured players Jeron Teng, Kevin Racal, and Maverick Ahanmisi.
