Meralco’s Durham is Governors’ Cup Best Import for third time


For the third time in four years, Allen Durham earned the Best Import award in the PBA Governors Cup after steering the Meralco Bolts back to the finals.

The Meralco reinforcement received the citation ahead of the Game Four of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup finals on Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Averaging close to 29 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists and collecting a total of 1,170 points, Durham has now won the most number of Best Import award in the said conference, according to the league’s chief statistician Fidel Mangonon III.

Once again, the 6-foot-6 Durham beat out Barangay Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee, as well as TNT KaTropa’s KJ McDaniels for the plum.
