Barangay Ginebra stymied the TNT KaTropa’s fourth-quarter comeback to carve out a hard-earned 96-93 win in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup on Friday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Playing catch-up for most of the first half, the Gin Kings flipped the switch in the third period and even took a double-digit lead, but had to stay composed down the stretch after losing a 10-point advantage in the payoff period.

Stanley Pringle delivered the biggest basket for Ginebra, making a go-ahead lay-up over KJ McDaniels to break the deadlock at 92-all, before Justin Brownlee sank two free throws to seal the deal.
